GeniusConnect announces support of custom SQL statements, providing the ability to synchronize Outlook/Exchange to complex data models.
With the release of GeniusConnect 3.0.0.8 it is now possible to enter custom SQL statements or stored procedures for Insert, Update and Delete.
This feature enables writing data to complex data models, using for example stored procedures to distribute the data to multiple tables.
You can write a complex VIEW and use it in GeniusConnect to retrieve data to Outlook,
in combination with custom stored procedures to write data to the database.
This new feature allows GeniusConnect to provide Outlook database connectivity to a wider variety of more complex applications.
This will prove especially effective for application developers integrating GeniusConnect into their product or systems integrators
with the need to provide more complex solutions for their customers.
“GeniusConnect version 3.0.0.8 was developed in response to feedback we received from IT professionals using the product.
Although this is an advanced feature not recommend for use by the typical power user of GeniusConnect, it provides programmers and IT professionals
with a greater degree of flexibility they have been requesting from our product” says Radek Mrkvicka, GeniusConnect development director.
For most professional office workers, Outlook is their primary tool for daily communication with colleagues, suppliers and clients.
